LifeLine Privacy Policy

Updated October 12, 2026. Originally published August 13, 2026.

LifeLine is a personal wellness app that works locally on iPhone and Apple Watch without an account, server or network connection. It is not a medical device, diagnosis, treatment or emergency monitor.

Apple Health and Apple Watch

If you grant Health access, LifeLine reads the HealthKit categories described in its permission screen to show local wellness trends, freshness, recovery, activity context, sleep, heart and breathing metrics, oxygen, body measurements and physiological strain. HealthKit access is read-only. Missing or partial history is shown as unavailable or sparse rather than treated as zero.

Raw HealthKit samples stay within the LifeLine app family. LifeLine does not use health or fitness data for advertising, marketing, tracking or unrelated analytics, and does not store personal health information in iCloud.

The Apple Watch app writes a small cached display snapshot to the shared LifeLine App Group for its complication. Notification previews use generic wording and do not expose exact measurements on the Lock Screen.

Optional Amdirion sign-in and sync

Amdirion sign-in is optional. Connecting your account lets LifeLine upload bounded summaries to Amdirion and lets your signed-in Health Atlas read that account's summaries remotely. Amdirion manages the account email, sign-in and connected-service information.

Automatic sync is on by default once configured, while a later explicit Off choice remains Off. Unconfigured installations send nothing. Automatic attempts use app opening, Apple Health updates and available iOS background opportunities; manual Sync Now requests an immediate attempt. Local functionality works without an account or network, including when sync fails.

Uploads can contain bounded activity and workout summaries, heart and breathing metrics, sleep, oxygen, blood pressure, glucose, body measurements, temperature, daylight, recovery and strain. They include measurement dates, source references, bounded derived metrics and dated summary history, including completed sleep nights. Raw HealthKit samples are not uploaded.

The account destination is amdirion.com. Amdirion stores account-linked summaries on its existing hosted database in Stockholm, Sweden, with Fly.io as the hosting provider. Health Atlas is hosted on Netlify and reads only the signed-in account's available summaries from Amdirion. The remote service does not require your Mac to be running.

If you use an existing manually configured HTTPS receiver instead, that receiver's operator controls its retention and deletion practices; check the configured destination in LifeLine Settings.

Storage and deletion

LifeLine stores preferences, activity markers and bounded derived snapshots locally on your devices. Account tokens and external-sync credentials stay in the device Keychain and are not displayed or logged. Deleting LifeLine removes its local app data, subject to normal Apple backup and app-deletion behaviour; it does not delete uploaded summaries.

Amdirion keeps your current uploaded summary, its bounded dated history and limited upload-processing records until they are replaced or deleted. Turning sync Off or signing out stops future uploads but does not erase earlier uploads.

You can request deletion of uploaded LifeLine summaries using the contact below. Eligible consumer accounts can also be deleted through Amdirion Account: this removes the central account and its stored Health summaries, synchronized settings and connected-service list, and revokes its sign-ins. Independent accounts or data in other services remain with those services. Protected operator accounts use the support route instead of consumer self-deletion.

Your choices

You can deny or revoke Health and notification access in Apple Settings. You can leave Amdirion sign-in unconfigured, turn sync Off at any time, sign out, and remove saved external-sync credentials in LifeLine Settings. Core local presentation remains available with limited or missing evidence.
